THE REVOLUTIONISTS by LAUREN GUNDERSON

Four bold women—playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, ribbon-loving Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle—team up in a wild, feminist comedy set amid the Reign of Terror. As they plot, spar, and even murder Marat, they battle the rising madness of 1793 Paris. Blending history and fantasy, this sharp, irreverent play explores violence, legacy, activism, and sisterhood—part true story, part fiction, part theatrical fever dream—ending in a rousing song and a scaffold.

Chicken & Biscuits by Douglas Lyons

May 8, 2026 - May 24, 2026

Can sisters Baneatta and Beverly bury their father without killing each other? In this celebration of Black joy, grief, and healing, an extended family returns to St. Luke’s Church to inter Bernard Jenkins, their patriarch. Family stressors abound as Beverly shows up to the chapel with her “blessings” on display, Baneatta’s son brings his neurotic Jewish boyfriend, and Beverly’s nosy daughter keeps asking questions no one wants to answer. Meanwhile, Baneatta’s husband, Reginald, tries to keep the peace, but when a shocking family secret reveals itself at the pulpit, the two sisters are faced with a truth that could either heal or break them.

Told with warmth and delicacy, Chicken & Biscuits is a touching and often hilarious ode to the people in our lives we can’t choose.

The conflict escalates from a simple fence dispute between the nouveau-riche Latinx Del Valles and the established Anglo Butleys into a battle of gardening styles—native plants versus manicured lawns—touching on themes of racism, entitlement, generational gaps, and finding common ground.
